U.S. Import Fees, Duties & Taxes

If you're ordering from the United States, it's important to understand how international shipping and customs may affect your delivery.

NEW: As of September 1st, 2025, the US government has removed the $800 exemption for packages entering the US. This means that all orders will likely incur an entry fee and applicable duties/tariffs. These fees are the customer’s responsibility and are not refundable under any circumstances.

Why Am I Being Charged Extra Fees?

When a package is imported into the U.S., Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may apply additional charges such as:

  • Tariffs
  • Import Duties
  • State or Federal Taxes
  • Carrier Brokerage or Handling Fees (e.g., UPS, FedEx)

These fees are not included in your order total and are assessed upon delivery by the carrier or customs agency.

Who Pays These Fees?

These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. They are collected by your government or the shipping carrier and are non-refundable.

What If I Refuse the Package?

If you decline to pay the fees and the package is returned to us:

  • A 30% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund
  • Refunds are issued only after we receive the returned package
  • Any additional return shipping or carrier fees will also be deducted

Why Does This Happen?

As a Canadian business shipping internationally, we do not control customs decisions. Import rules vary by country, and fees are based on your order’s value and destination.

We encourage all U.S. customers to review their local import regulations before ordering.
